Are you looking for a unique music/arts event to attend in New Orleans? The BUKU Music + Arts Project is a festival unlike any other. This year the festival is scheduled to take place from March 20 to 21 at Mardi Gras World (where the famous floats are built). 

The festival’s unusual name comes from the French word ‘beaucoup’ which means ‘plenty’ and there will be plenty of art, music, and food here to live up to the name. The festival will also feature Mississippi riverboat cruises.

The music at the BUKU festival is diverse, but most of it falls into the categories of hip-hop, EDM, or indie rock. Attendees can soak in the tunes from four different stages—two outdoor and two indoor. A wide range of artists are scheduled to perform, including: Ari Lennox, Tyler, the Creator, Kaytranada, Megan Thee Stallion, Illenium, Goldlink, Zeds Dead, Young M.A, and Roddy Ricch. 

Public art demonstrations are major cultural elements of the festival. A live graffiti gallery will be set up to give an interactive street country feel to the event. In addition, an eclectic gathering of food vendors will be onsite to keep attendees energized and to enhance the street culture vibe.

Tickets for the festival can be purchased online and are available in a variety of packaged options. Attendees can choose from general admission or VIP options. Pre-sale pricing is also available. Attendees must be 17 years or older and 21+ to consume alcohol at the event.
